THE LEGEND
Those daring to enter the Zammerloch, the mystical gorge in Tyrol, are sure to come across mysterious sights!
The trail leads past a suspension bridge by an old dilapidated forge before a steep climb up a set of steps in the rock brings you to a mountain cave emanating the sounds of wondrouis bells. Those wishing to walk across it must look into their hears before remerging into the daylight by the waterfall to encounter a giant bull made of stone. The bull is watching and keeping guard over the head of a young nymph.
Even today, the mystical statues formed by the water gushing out of the rock never cease to amaze the visitor. They testify to the many myths and legends which have grown up around the "Zammer Lochputz" - the name which local people gave to the bull in the Zammerloch over the course of centuries ...
